Moscow views Israel’s strike on the capital of Qatar as a blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"Russia regards the incident as a blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter, an attack on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of an independent state and a step escalating further tensions and instability in the Middle East," the ministry said.
On August 9, Israel's military carried out an airstrike targeting Hamas leadership as blasts rocked the Qatari capital of Doha. The Israeli operation was named "Peak Fire".
