On Tuesday, September 23, a summit on the situation in the Gaza Strip will be held in New York City, with US President Donald Trump and Muslim leaders in attendance.
According to Axios, representatives from Türkiye, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, and Jordan are expected to participate.
Sources note that Washington wants these countries to take part in the post-war reconstruction of the enclave and deploy troops there to help stabilize the situation.
In turn, Muslim leaders are expected to urge the White House to pressure Israel to halt its offensive in the Gaza Strip and abandon plans to establish control over the West Bank.
