UN Security Council emergency meeting postponed to September 11

The UN Security Council postponed an emergency meeting on the Middle East situation at the request of Qatar. Earlier, Israel attacked Qatar, where Hamas negotiators resided.

The UN Security Council meeting in connection with the Israeli attack on Doha was postponed from September 10 to September 11, the decision was confirmed in the Republic of Korea, which currently holds the presidency of the UN Security Council.

Earlier on Wednesday, Qatar requested the UN Security Council meeting to be postponed from Wednesday evening to Thursday. The meeting may be attended by the Prime Minister of Qatar.

"The Security Council postponed today's emergency briefing on the "Situation in the Middle East" to tomorrow afternoon at the request of Qatar, so that the Prime Minister of Qatar can participate in the meeting,”

– the Permanent Mission of Qatar to the UN reported.
