Bashkortostan and Siberia will soon be connected with the capital of North Ossetia. Three large federal tour operators are working on implementation of flights to the renovated airport in Vladikavkaz.
Regular flights will soon be launched from Siberia and Bashkortostan to Vladikavkaz, head of the republic Sergey Menyailo said during his annual report on the main directions of the region's socio-economic development.
Three large federal tour operators are interested in these flights and now are working with the republic. They are planning to launch flights from Ufa, Irkutsk and Novosibirsk, Menyailo says.
The head of the region recalled that charter flights from Moscow have already been launched and a direct flight from the capital of Tatarstan is being performed.
In December last year, a new facility was put into operation at the Vladikavkaz airport, capable of serving over 800,000 passengers a year.
