The head of the ruling party "Georgian Dream", Irakli Kobakhidze, expressed confidence that Georgia would receive EU candidate status this December.
He noted that today the country's expectations for the mature decision have improved, therefore, according to him, there are more reasons for optimism.
At the same time, Kobakhidze believes that today the opposition is doing everything to prevent Georgia from receiving this status, adding that this is its only goal, which it is hiding.
He recalled the words of Gubaz Sanikidze, a member of the political association "United Opposition – Strength in Unity", who said on TV that Georgia did not deserve candidate status. The head of the party emphasized that the goals come right out of their mouths.
