Russia plans to open new consulate general in Armenia

Russia's State Secretary and Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Ivanov said that Moscow expects to open a Russian consulate general in the Armenian city of Kapan.

"Orders have been issued to open a consulate general in Armenia," Ivanov said.

When asked about the approximate timeframe for the opening of the consulate general in Armenia, the deputy foreign minister said that it is planned for "the near future."

"We expect it by the end of the year," Ivanov said.

The senior diplomat added that a consulate general will be also opened in Indonesia in Bali
