The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) notes the interest of both Azerbaijan and Armenia in participating in the organization's activities, Russia’s permanent representative to CIS bodies Andrey Grozov told TASS in an interview.
"I would like to emphasize that from both the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides we see interest in engaging in the work of our association," Andrey Grozov said.
According to him, all Baku-Yerevan issues within the CIS framework are being resolved in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual respect.
The officials said that Russia always tries to encourage its partners towards constructive cooperation.
The diplomat emphasized that Baku and Yerevanmake decisions about participation in the work of any CIS bodies based on their sovereign rights.
