The withdrawal of Russia's 102nd military base from Armenia is not being discussed at the moment, Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan said.
"At this moment, we are not discussing the issue of withdrawing the military base. We haven’t had such discussions, and I can’t say anything new about it," Alen Simonyan said.
On August 23, the anti-Russia protest was organized in Gyumri by the pro-western 'For The Republic' Party.
The speaker also said that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will visit Russia in the coming days. The Armenian PM plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
Earlier, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova suggested that Pashinyan's attendance at the Atomic Week in Moscow at the end of September is a possibility that cannot be dismissed.
