Russia ready to continue dialogue with Ukraine in Istanbul

Russia is ready to continue negotiations with Ukraine within the Istanbul format, Alexey Polishchuk, head of the Second CIS Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry, reports.

"We remain open to continuing the dialogue and highly appreciate Türkiye’s hospitality,”

– Alexey Polishchuk said.

According to Polishchuk, Kiev initiated the suspension of the negotiation process in Türkiye last year due to a lack of "tangible progress." Moscow expressed its willingness to raise the level of its delegation within the Istanbul process and also proposed monitoring the ceasefire, but Kiev has not responded to these initiatives, the diplomat noted.
