A minor earthquake struck Dagestan on Monday afternoon, causing no casualties or damage, according to the republic's Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The earthquake occurred at 3:13 p.m. Moscow time in the Nogai District, the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the earthquake was not felt on the surface.
