Cargo throughput at the Baku Seaport rose 3% this year, with the logistics complex handling over 5.5 million tonnes of cargo.
According to Azerbaijan Railways, more than 85,000 freight containers were processed in the first eight months, up 22% from 70,000 a year earlier.
Container throughput in August reached nearly 13,000 units, showing a year‑on‑year increase of almost 40%.
