Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, the Chairman of the People's Council (Halk Maslahaty) of Turkmenistan, announced the location and time of the next CIS Heads of State Council Summit. The leaders' meeting will take place on October 9 next year in Turkmenbashi.
According to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow (Arkadag), the Awaza tourist zone, which is equipped to host meetings of this level, will be the venue for the CIS Heads of State Summit.
The former president of Turkmenistan also noted that the country is preparing to host the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and a conference on demography.
