Despite participating in the plan's formulation, Israel has made adjustments to the ceasefire proposal for Gaza and the broader conflict, The Wall Street Journal reports.

The most significant change involves statehood: while the plan allows for an independent Palestinian state, it no longer references a two-state solution, according to TASS.

The publication questions whether Saudi Arabia will fund the initiative, given the unclear prospects for resolving the conflict through mutual recognition of two states.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu endorsed Trump's plan during a joint press conference but warned that Hamas sabotage attempts would prompt Israel to "finish the job itself."
