Russia, the UAE, Algeria, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Kazakhstan have tentatively agreed to raise oil production by 137 thousand barrels per day in October compared to September levels, Bloomberg reports.
According to the agency, key alliance members are expected to approve the increase as the group, led by Moscow and Riyadh, begins reducing the volume of supply restrictions
The proposed October increase would initiate a gradual exit from the cuts of 1.65 million barrels per day, originally planned to remain in place until the end of 2026. However, final decisions are still under discussion.
OPEC+ is scheduled to hold online talks today, September 7, to finalize October production parameters. The meeting is set to begin at 15:30 Moscow time.
