The USA has urged Israel to ease tensions in Lebanon and pursue intensive negotiations, expressing support for the diplomatic process between the two sides, Al Hadath reported.
Washington also informed Beirut of its readiness to help secure a successful outcome to the talks.
Earlier, the State Department said significant progress had been made in the negotiations, with the parties' positions now closer.
The seventh round of Lebanon‑Israel talks took place in Rome in early August.
