Pakistan and Afghanistan agree to ceasefire, schedule Türkiye talks

Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif confirmed ongoing negotiations between Pakistan and Afghanistan amid escalating border tensions.

The first meeting was held in Qatar, with subsequent talks scheduled for Türkiye.

At the talks held yesterday in Doha, the two sides agreed to an immediate ceasefire, the Qatari Foreign Ministry announced on Sunday night.

Qatari Foreign Ministry reported.

Negotiators also established a framework for consolidating sustainable peace between Islamabad and Kabul.

The meeting participants agreed to conduct additional meetings to maintain ceasefire compliance and verify implementation.

"The delegations will meet again in Istanbul on October 25, and we will discuss all the details",

Pakistani Defense Minister said.
