Starting December 8, 2025, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation will remove restrictions on money transfers abroad for Russian citizens and non-resident individuals from friendly nations.

"Considering the stable situation in the foreign exchange market, the Central Bank is lifting the previously established limits on foreign currency transfers abroad for Russian citizens and non-resident individuals from friendly countries",

the Central Bank of Russia said.

The Bank also stated that non-residents from "unfriendly" countries would retain the ability to transfer funds equivalent to their earned salaries.

The new policy will remain in effect from December 8, 2025, through June 7, 2026, inclusive.
