Spring break in Uzbekistan will begin on March 19. It means that schoolchildren will have two more days-off.
The last school day before the holidays in the republic's schools will be Saturday, March 18. Children will return to their desks on Monday, March 27, the Ministry of Education announced.
The Government had previously approved holidays from March 21 to March 26 . However, the decree of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on additional non-working days in March in connection with Navruz extended the spring holidays, and March 20 was declared a holiday.
Thus, spring break in schools will not be a week, but nine days. It should be noted that these days in Uzbekistan there will be large-scale celebrations on the occasion of the spring holiday of Navruz.
