A meeting of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan planned in Brussels for the end of October has been cancelled, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar said.
The meeting of European Council President Charles Michel, Aliyev and Pashinyan will not be held in late October because of a lack of time.
"Our goal is for the Armenians of Karabakh to return to their homes. Noting the importance of the meeting in Granada, in which Aliyev did not participate, we are now trying to organize a Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting in Brussels. Despite the slow process, we believe that the result will be the signing of the document," Klaar said.
He didn't specify possible new dates.
