Residential building collapses in Istanbul

According to Turkish media, a residential building collapsed in Istanbul on the morning of June 2.

The incident happened in the western part of the city in the Küçükçekmece district at about 08:40 local time.

Rescuers and firefighters arrived at the scene of the emergency.

At the moment,seven known victims have been rescued. All of them have been taken to hospitals. The condition of the two victims is assessed as serious.

The cause of the house collapse is currently being established. The possibility of an explosion cannot be ruled out.
