Baku increases its share in European gas market

According to the European Commission's report for the last quarter of last year, the EU received 11 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Azerbaijan in 2023.

Azerbaijan increased its share of total gas imports to Europe from 3 to 7%.

In 2023, natural gas imports to Europe amounted to 290 billion cubic meters, and consumption was 330 billion. It is 13.4% and 7.3% less than in 2022.
