EU to target banks and crypto in 19th package of anti-Russia sanctions

The European Union executive's head Ursula von der Leyen said the new EU sanctions measures against Russia would target crypto, banks, and energy.

"The Commission will soon present its 19th package of sanctions, targeting crypto, banks, and energy," von der Leyen said.

According to her, the European Commission will also propose speeding up the phase-out of Russian fossil imports.

Earlier, the EU has postponed adopting the 19th package of sanctions against Russia.
