Ten individuals with military backgrounds have been detained in Türkiye on suspicion of links to cleric Fethullah Gülen's organization (FETO), which is designated as a terrorist group in the country, Turkish media reported.
Among those detained, one is an active-duty officer, while the other nine are former officers and non-commissioned officers who had been previously dismissed from service.
Investigators allege that all suspects communicated with alleged FETO representatives using public telephone lines.
The detentions follow an earlier operation initiated by the Ankara Chief Prosecutor's Office against FETO, which is accused of attempting to infiltrate the Turkish Navy.
