Leyla Aliyeva attends number of New Year children events in Azerbaijan

Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva attended the awarding ceremony of Children’s Art Festival, jointly organized by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Science and Education on December 26.

Leyla Aliyeva congratulated the winners, wishing them success. The event proceeded with the concert program performed by the winners of the festival.

Leyla Aliyeva also met with the creative team of the “ANIMAFILM Studio”. Director of the “ANIMAFILM Studio” Rashid Aghamaliyev and the honored culture worker, holder of the individual presidential pension Elchin Hami Akhundov also attended the meeting. Leyla Aliyeva watched the latest animated films produced by the studio.

In addition, Leyla Aliyeva attended a festive celebration held for children living in Yevlakh. During the celebration, bicycles and safety equipment were distributed among 30 children of different age groups.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has also organized an annual celebration for children in need of special care on the eve of World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year. Leyla Aliyeva, Arzu Aliyeva, and Alena Aliyeva attended the event at the Gulustan Palace.

Children with disabilities from various orphanages and boarding schools, along with children from families of martyrs, were invited to the festive celebration titled “The New Year Wonders”. Concluding the entertainment program, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation presented holiday gifts to the children.

Leyla Aliyeva also met with elderly citizens at the “Yasha Center” in Icherisheher. At the center, elderly citizens engage in various activities, including handicrafts, decorative and applied arts, as well as participate in educational and cultural events. Leyla Aliyeva had a conversation with the elderly citizens, heard poems recited by them, as well as viewed the samples crafted by the elderly people. She was also briefed on the future activities of the Center.
