Sangadzhi Tarbayev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Tourism and Tourism Infrastructure Development, noted that a Russian passport provides access to 120 destinations.
"Today, Russians have access to 120 countries and territories with a completely visa-free or visa-free with conditions regime (with simplified visa processing)"
Tarbayev stated.
Visa-free with conditions presupposes a visa issue upon arrival or an electronic travel authorization (ETA), which is issued online.
At the end of 2025, visa-free travel was introduced for travel to China, Oman, and Jordan, and a visa-free regime with Saudi Arabia will come into effect soon. India may also become visa-free for organized tourists, according to TASS.
