State Duma deputies invited to Washington

Several Russian State Duma deputies have been invited to Washington for consultations with members of Congress, according to Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-Florida).

The Republican representative from Florida stated that she has officially invited four Russian lawmakers for consultations with members of Congress later this month. Luna secured preliminary approval from the US State Department for the visit.

The congresswoman clarified that the Russian deputies may hold meetings with members of Congress. Among the topics on the agenda will be talks regarding the situation in Ukraine.

"Peace should always prevail, and discussions should be conducted with common sense",

Anna Paulina Luna said.

The congresswoman expressed her gratitude to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio for assisting in organizing the visit.
