Baku Yerevan agree to supply LNG and bitumen to Armenia

Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed to supply LNG and bitumen through Azerbaijan. The deliveries will be carried out by rail.

Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan announced that Baku and Yerevan had agreed to supply LNG and bitumen to Armenia through Azerbaijan.

"Armenia and Azerbaijan reached an agreement on the rail transportation of liquefied natural gas and bitumen through Azerbaijan. Our entrepreneurs can now take advantage of this opportunity,”

– Gevorg Papoyan said.

Armenia began receiving cargo (grain, gasoline and diesel fuel) through Azerbaijan late last year.
