Indirect consultations between Washington and Tehran, conducted through mediators, have entered their final stage, Saudi Arabia's Al Arabiya television reported, citing a senior source.
According to the source, the contacts between the two sides are ongoing through third-party intermediaries.
"Indirect negotiations between the United States and Iran have entered the final stage," Al Arabiya reported.
The source also told Al Arabiya that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi recently held two telephone conversations with Pakistan's army chief.
The top Iranian diplomat is expected to visit Islamabad at the end of this week or early next week, the channel reported.
