The Lebanese Hezbollah movement confirmed that it attacked Israeli troops in southern Lebanon on April 23, specifically in the village of Taybeh.

In a statement, Hezbollah said the attack was a response to what it described as Israeli violations of a 10-day ceasefire that had taken effect last week on April 17.

The ceasefire was announced following phone calls between US President Donald Trump and the leaders of Israel and Lebanon, after which both sides agreed to halt hostilities for 10 days.
