Iran will strike all U.S. and Israeli targets in the Middle East if U.S. President Donald Trump follows through on threats to attack Iranian bridges and power plants, spokesman for the Iranian Khatam-al Anbiya headquarters Ebrahim Zolfaghari said.
"In response to the hollow statements by the U.S. president and his repeated threats to destroy Iran’s bridges, power plants and energy infrastructure, we warn once again: if these threats are carried out, the powerful Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran <...> will conduct even more powerful and destructive attacks on key facilities and assets [in the region]," Zolfaghari said.
The spokesperson stressed that countries hosting U.S. military bases in the region must compel American forces to leave their territory if they seek to avoid damage.
On Thursday, Trump demanded that Iran’s authorities accept a deal in the near future and threatened to destroy civilian infrastructure in the Islamic Republic.
According to the U.S. leader, the U.S. military "hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran." Bridges will be next, followed by power plants, Trump said.
