Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is set to travel to New York to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly this week.
Pezeshkian is scheduled to address the General Assembly on September 23, where he’s expected to present the Islamic Republic’s stance on international developments and the U.S.-Israeli war of aggression against the country.
On the sidelines of the gathering, the Iranian president is also expected to hold meetings and consultations with world leaders.
A high-ranking Iranian delegation is expected to accompany the president during the trip. The core delegation that received visas to attend also includes Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Earlier, Pezeshkian said that Tehran is ready to resolve differences with its neighbors through dialogue and mutual respect, warning that the U.S. and Israel are seeking to sow discord in the region to weaken its nations and plunder their resources.
