Rail freight in Azerbaijan rose 11% in the first nine months of the year to nearly 14 million tonnes, the State Statistical Committee reported.
Total freight across the country reached 183 million tonnes, with rail accounting for 7.6%.
Road transport carried over 63% of the total, up 6.7%, while sea shipments fell 4.2% to 6.6 million tonnes.
