Ulyanovsk farmers harvested 2.1 million tons of grain, the highest yield in 43 years. After fulfilling domestic needs, the surplus was exported.

By the end of 2025, a total of 56.8 million tons of feed grain was exported from Ulyanovsk to Iran via a multimodal route, including sea freight. The shipments were transported on 14 bulk carriers as part of the national "International Cooperation and Export" project.

268 railcars carrying 21,500 tons of grain were also sent by rail to Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Latvia. Another 814 tons were delivered by road to Türkiye, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.

In order to strengthen Russian grain's position on the global market, the Ministry of Agriculture will maintain zero export duties on wheat, barley, and corn. This measure takes effect on January 31, 2026.
