Sahiba Gafarova and Alen Simonyan welcome Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization progress

Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova and Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan praised bilateral agreements reached at the August Washington summit during their Geneva discussions, according to Azerbaijani Parliamentary Press and Public Relations Department.

During their talks, Gafarova and Simonyan welcomed the agreements reached at the Washington summit in August and the measures aimed at normalizing relations.

The parliamentary leaders stressed the importance of maintaining constructive dialogue and expressed legislative support for implementing bilateral confidence-building measures.

This second high-level parliamentary meeting this year occurred during the 151st Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Geneva.
