Georgia has become more popular with tourists from Central Asia this year, with more than 115,000 visitors from the region in the first six months — a 3% increase compared to last year.
According to the Georgian Tourism Administration, visits from Central Asian countries rose by 7% in the second quarter of the year. Kazakhstan sent the largest number of tourists, around 45,000, followed by Uzbekistan with 20,000.
Central Asian countries are connected to Georgia by 17 air routes.
