Today, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, went to the Karabakh economic region. As part of his trip to Karabakh, he visited a number of cities and sites.
On Friday morning, Ilham Aliyev visited Khojaly airport, which is planned to be restored. Then the Azerbaijani leader headed to Khankendi, where he got acquainted with the progress of work at Karabakh University and laid the foundation of the Khankendi Congress Center. In the city of Khankendi, Ilham Aliyev also took part in the opening ceremony of two hotels, Karabakh and Palace. They were opened after major repairs and restoration work.
After his visit to Khankendi, the President of Azerbaijan went to the city of Shusha, where he attended the opening ceremony of the Isa Bulagi recreational complex and opened a complex of water treatment facilities. The President also visited the Ashaghi Govhar Agha mosque, which had been restored.
It should be noted that an informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) will be held in Shusha on July 5-6. It will be attended by the leaders of the countries of the association.
