Iran has provided a second bridge to Armenia, installed in Ayrum to replace the flood-damaged structure. The new bridge is now operational, according to the Tavush regional administration.

The first Iranian-donated bridge was erected near Alaverdi, close to the Sanahin railway station. Both structures span the Debed River, connecting its banks.

Let us recall that in May last year, Debed and Aghstev overflowed their banks due to prolonged heavy rainfall. The flood destroyed a significant part of the infrastructure of the Lori and Tavush regions, forcing evacuations of residents of the flooded areas. The flood claimed the lives of several people.
