Statistics from the Turkish EPIAS exchange showed record gas consumption in the republic: compared to 2024, it rose by 13%, nearing 64 billion cubic meters – the highest level since such data has been recorded.
Furthermore, according to TASS, gas demand in Türkiye also reached a monthly record in December 2025, with over 8 billion cubic meters consumed.
This trend aligns with Russian data showing a 14% increase in gas supplies to Türkiye (January – October 2025), which approached 18 billion cubic meters.
In the same period, Türkiye also set a record for LNG imports from the USA, reaching 5.7 billion cubic meters and surpassing previous highs.
