Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Georgia FMs sign joint declaration in Istanbul

The Istanbul Declaration was adopted within the framework of the 10th Trilateral Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Georgia in Istanbul.

The 10th trilateral meeting took place in Istanbul on June 8, 2026, at the invitation of Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, with the participation of Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov.

The sides reiterated strong and unequivocal support for each other’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and inviolability of borders, highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation on transport, energy and trade. They also recognized the strategic contribution of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline and the Southern Gas Corridor, as well as highlighted the key role of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway (BTK) within the Middle Corridor.
