Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated on October 6 that Tehran is taking a cautious approach to reestablishing diplomatic ties with Damascus.
According to Baghaei, Iran continues to closely monitor developments in the Syrian Arab Republic.
"While we are open to engagement with all countries in the region and believe that stability in Syria is essential for the security of the entire region, we continue to follow developments there carefully",
Esmail Baghaei said.
The spokesperson added that Syria's future should be determined solely by its citizens without external interference or pressure, noting that regional peace depends directly on Syrian stability.
