Iran reduces imports from Kazakhstan by 17%

Iran's imports of goods from Kazakhstan decreased by nearly 17% last year, with bilateral trade totaling $229 million, according to the Iranian Customs Service.

The value of Kazakh exports to Iran amounted to $34 million, involving a total volume of 93,000 tons, primarily consisting of grain and machinery.

The overall trade turnover between the two countries exceeded 400,000 tons. In monetary terms, the countries traded with each other for $229 million. Iran's total import volume amounted to 29 million tons, worth over $44 billion.
