Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has promised to maintain Tehran's backing of Hezbollah and its leadership, according to Iranian media reports citing a letter from the Supreme Leader on April 1.
The letter also speaks of "resistance and steadfastness" in the confrontation with the USA and Israel, noting that Tehran's policy is built on "constant support for the resistance".
Khamenei expressed confidence in Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem, stating that he is capable of thwarting Israel's plans and restoring peace and dignity to Lebanon.
Since late February, the US and Israel have carried out strikes on major Iranian cities. In response, Iran has been targeting Israeli territory and US military installations across the Middle East.
