Israeli forces have killed the commander of Hamas' Khan Yunis Western Battalion in the southern Gaza Strip, the IDF and Shin Bet reported.
Wahid Abu Salam was involved in the October 7, 2023, invasion of Israel and was also linked to the theft and hostage-taking of Israeli citizens, according to the military.
The IDF said the battalion commander had recently been preparing new attacks and working to restore arms supplies for further operations against Israeli forces.
