Public Service Development Agency of Georgia's Ministry of Justice has announced the most popular names in Georgia for 2025.
According to the statistics, Alexander was the most popular name for boys, given to 691 newborns. It was followed by Giorgi (668) and Thomas (589). Luka (584) and Demetre (549) were also frequently chosen for boys.
Nitsa was the most common name for girls, with 640 Georgian babies given this name. Marta was the second most popular name, chosen for 537 girls, and Taia ranked third with 489 newborns given this name. Mariam and Eva also became popular names, with 472 and 449 girls named this year in Georgia.
