The Tbilisi Metro was partially shut down due to an emergency at one of the stations on the first line.

A tragic incident on the Tbilisi Metro caused the suspension of service between several stations, the Tbilisi Transport Company reports.

The incident occurred on the first line of the Tbilisi Metro. A passenger died at the Samgori station. Police are currently working at the scene.

As a result, a decision has been made to temporarily close the Varketili, Samgori, and Isani stations until the investigation is completed. Passengers are currently unable to use them. Trains are operating from the 300 Aragveli station and beyond without any changes.
