Türkiye will continue purchasing natural gas from Russia, Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar told CNN Turk television channel.
He stressed that Türkiye has agreements with Russia.
"The winter season is approaching. We cannot tell our citizens that there is no gas. We need to receive gas from Russia, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan," Bayraktar said.
The Turkish energy minister noted adding that Türkiye imports energy resources based on its needs.
He added that Türkiye is already importing liquefied natural gas from the U.S., highlighting the importance of LNG in diversifying supply.
