The U.S. military has redirected 50 merchant ships since the establishment of the naval blockade of Iran on April 13, the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM) said.
"As of today, 50 commercial vessels have been redirected by US forces to ensure compliance," the statement reads.
CENTCOM said that they will block the movement of all ships heading to the ports of the Islamic Republic, as well as those trying to sail from its shores.
