“China calls on all parties involved, in particular Israel, to exercise restraint <…> and to avoid taking any actions that may heighten tensions and prevent further escalation of the situation,”
- Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said.
She noted that China is continuing dialogue with all parties involved as well as the international community to facilitate peace talks.
In conclusion, the representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry emphasized that the situation in the zone of tension between Israel and Palestine must be kept under control.
