All passengers to be subject to new security check rules at Turkish airports

Those wishing to travel by air in Türkiye should be prepared to undergo all types of security inspection at the airport if such measures are necessary to security reasons. The Turkish Minister of Transport, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, made the corresponding statement regarding the relevant bill, which caused a wide resonance.

Earlier, Turkish media reported that personal and baggage checks will be mandatory for flights. The passengers who refuse to pass the check will simply not be allowed on board the plane.

Uraloğlu recalled that Türkiye was a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization and, of course, fulfilled all its requirements.

"If you travel by plane, you must allow all types of inspection, you must follow generally accepted rules, regardless of who you are. Everyone is searched if there is a risk",

the minister said.

However, apparently, not everyone is happy with this innovation. The Minister of Transport mentioned attempts to challenge the order in the courts, but he did not discuss this topic.
