Iran ready to seek solution to its nuclear program through diplomacy

Speaking at the SCO Plus summit of heads of state in Tianjin, China, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reiterated Iran's readiness to find a diplomatic solution regarding its peaceful nuclear program.

The Iranian leader emphasized that the June airstrikes on nuclear facilities demonstrated that military action cannot resolve this issue.

Pezeshkian also commented on the intention of the EU3 (the UK, Germany, France) to implement the snapback mechanism to restore UN Security Council sanctions against Iran, warning this would further complicate and exacerbate the situation.

The President added that Tehran would like Washington and the EU3 to strive for a fair solution through diplomacy, excluding confrontation.
